    Karen is the On-Site Owner at The Goddard School and opened The Goddard School in Jackson Township in 2009. She has her Bachelor's degree in Education from The University of Akron and her Master's degree in Education from Malone. Previous to The Goddard School, Karen was a 3rd-6th grade teacher for Tuslaw and Jackson Local Schools.

    Barb is the Director od Operations at The Goddard School and joined our team August 2012 as the Pre-K teacher. She has her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Clarion University and has over twenty years experience working with children. Previous to The Goddard School, she was a Toddler and Pre-School teacher and Director at another center.

    Emily graduated from Conemaugh Township Area High School and earned her Associates Degree at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. Emily is First Aid and CPR certified. Emily has been a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School for 3 years. Emily is one of the directors in the office. She is a talented teacher that especially enjoys making the most of natural learning opportunities. Her favorite children’s book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. Emily does a great job incorporating the Project Based Approach when planning learning experiences for Toddlers.

    Miss Ally has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Intervention. She is a well-established Early Educator who has worked previously as a Kindergarten Readiness Teacher and with Infants. While at The Goddard School she has worked with Toddlers and Preschoolers. She brings 12 years of teaching experience to our staff and is a natural adviser for new teachers. Miss Ally is CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse, Safe Sleep, and Communicable Disease certified. Miss Ally uses a Project Based Approach when planning lessons for the Arctic Ram classroom. She is knowledgeable about the strengths of each child in her care. She incorporates many natural elements into her classroom and encourages children to explore and discover using these natural elements daily.

    Miss Casey has worked in the Early Childhood profession for ten years. She is responsible, creative, energetic, and hardworking. She has previously worked as a Preschool teacher before joining The Goddard School as a Toddler Teacher. Miss Casey holds an Ohio CDA License. Teamwork is very important to Miss Casey as she has played soccer and currently is a girls’ soccer coach. Casey is a member of The National Association of Educating Young Children. She has completed many trainings at the Early Childhood Resource Center. She is currently trained in CPR, First Aid, Safe Sleep, Child Abuse, and Communicable Disease.

    Kimberly has more than 16 years of experience in child care. She has a CDA and has excellent in facilitating eating, resting and personal cleanliness. Kim does a great job working with parents in meeting every child's needs. Kim is Safe Sleep, CPR, and First Aid certified.

    Kimberly is a graduate of Walsh University with a Bachelor’s of Education in Early Childhood Education. She has an Ohio State Teaching License for ages 3 years through Grade 3. She completed her field work at Our Lady of Peace in Canton, Ohio and her Student Teaching at Tuslaw Elementary School in a Kindergarten classroom. Kimberly and is skilled in instructing both small and whole groups of children. She is CPR, Safe Sleep, First Aid, and Communicable Disease Certified. Kimberly is accomplished in maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interests in math and literacy, and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students. She is calm as well as committed to making a difference in the lives of future generations.

    Laurin is currently working towards a degree for Early Childhood Education at Stark State College. She has worked at The Goddard School for 9 months. Prior to working at The Goddard School, she was a nanny for five years and took care of children from ages birth to sixteen. She is current in certifications for: CPR, First Aid, Safe Sleep, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse. Laurin’s passion is to work with children and to help them in any way possible. She loves reading books and leading circle time with the children.

  • Miss Rachel

    Miss Rachel attended McKinley High School and Stark State College where she was accepted into the International Honor Society in Education-Kappa Delta Pi. She graduated with high distinction earning an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. Rachel is responsible, organized and has excellent time management skills. Rachel is approaching her 9th year of working with children; infant care is her specialty! Miss Rachel was voted 2016 Teacher of The Year and is a member of The National Association of Early Childhood. She actively reads and researches education articles pertaining to Infant care so that she can stay current with developmental trends. Rachel is Safe Sleep, First Aid, Communicable Disease, and CPR certified. Likewise, she recently attended the Ohio Early Childhood Conference in Sandusky, Ohio.

    Tayla graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 2016. After High School she attended Kent State University to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. She received her Associate Degree in May of 2018 and will be going back to receive her Bachelor Degree in Fall of 2019. Tayla has been working in the early childhood field for almost 6 months. Tayla enjoys watching children meet milestones such as sitting, standing, and mastering transitional foods. She is CPR, First Aid, Safe Sleep, and Communicable Disease certified.

  • Amanda

    Miss Amanda took an interest in helping children while in High School and has worked since 2010 watching children for neighbors. She completed an Early Childhood Career Exploration Program through Stark County School and is currently exploring her education options. Amanda is CPR, First Aid, Safe Sleep, Child Abuse, and Communicable Disease Certified. Amanda is a vital team player at The Goddard School. She helps close all the classrooms in the evenings and is skilled at reviewing the morning classroom curriculum that her co-teacher has taught to children in the mornings.

    Blake completed Perry Teacher Academy Career Technical Training. He is currently attending College for Education. Blake works as our After School Coordinator. He is CPR and First Aid certified.

  • Elizabeth

    Liz has thirteen years experience working with children, ten being at The Goddard School. She works with Before and After School children as well as helps when needed in classrooms. She studied Art at Kent State University and helps with our Art Auction each year.

  • Kaylee

    Miss Kaylee joined our team on July 2016. She has a CDA equivalent certificate and has worked with both infants and toddlers. Miss Kaylee has three years of experience working with children.

  • Mason

    Mr. Mason recently joined our team in March 2017. He is working in the field to gain experience. He is a teacher in the Pre-School classroom.

  • Rachel

    Rachel joined our team in 2016 and is working towards her CDA licensure. She works as a floater in the Toddler program.

  • Ms Sonya

    Miss Sonya graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. Sonya is certified in First Aid, CPR, Safe Sleep, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse. Miss Sonya is empathetic and patient. She is skilled at working with children at their level. She is especially interested in working with children on their basic communication skills. She has three children of her own and has a passion for working with children. She can often be found mentoring other teachers and staying after her shift to clean/organize her classroom.
